A double-blind, placebo-controlled study was carried out in Switzerland to determine the efficacy of Nicobrevin. The results were very positive - 62.5% of the smokers taking part in the study had given up at the end of the 28 day course compared to just 30% in the placebo group. Significantly more patients rated Nicobrevin as 'very effective' compared with the placebo.
Nicobrevin Capsules are designed to provide the greatest support in the first week when the withdrawal symptoms and craving for cigarettes are at their strongest. The dosage then reduces as the course progresses and the withdrawal symptoms and craving for cigarettes wear off. The Nicobrevin pack contains an informative in-pack leaflet and a useful dosage card to help the individual monitor their progress.

Each capsule should be swallowed whole with a little water. The course is started in the evening. Take two capsules the first evening before bedtime. For the next six days take one capsule on an empty stomach each morning and two capsules each evening before bedtime. For the next seven days take one capsule on an empty stomach each morning and one capsule each evening before bedtime. For the next fourteen days take one capsule each evening before bedtime. This completes the four weeks course.
Most people taking Nicobrevin find that it causes no side-effects. Occasionally, some minor ailments, such as feeling unwell, nausea, headache and dizziness may be experienced but these effects are more likely to be symptoms of nicotine withdrawal. A few cases of allergic skin rashes have been reported. If you experience any problems, stop taking the course and if the symptoms persist consult your pharmacist or doctor
